🌙 Moonlight Alliance Community Guidelines

Respect is non-negotiable. This community thrives on empathy and mutual understanding.

• Treat all members with dignity and kindness.
• Harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, slurs, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated.
• Avoid flame wars, trolling, or deliberately provocative behavior.
• Disagreements happen — address them calmly, constructively, and without hostility.

We do not tolerate discrimination in any form. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Racism, xenophobia, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, or religious intolerance.
• The use of slurs, dog whistles, coded language, or symbols affiliated with hate groups.
• "Jokes" rooted in bigotry or mockery of marginalized communities.

This applies to text, images, usernames, nicknames, and external links.

All public areas must remain SFW. Content that is graphic, explicit, or suggestive is not allowed in general spaces.

If your server permits NSFW content:

• It must be confined to clearly labeled 18+ channels.
• These channels must follow Discord's NSFW guidelines and applicable laws.
• Access must be strictly age-restricted and moderated.

Illegal, exploitative, or non-consensual material will result in immediate escalation, including reports to Discord Trust & Safety.

Moonlight Alliance enforces Discord's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. Violations include (but are not limited to):

• Promoting self-harm, suicide, or harmful challenges.
• Sharing malware, pirated content, doxxing materials, or engaging in cybercrime.
• Using our platform or bots for scams, spam, phishing, or evading Discord safety systems.

We may report violations to Discord and may assist investigations if necessary.

Avoiding punishments is a violation in itself. This includes:

• Using alt accounts to bypass bans, blocks, or mutes.
• Regaining staff roles through deceptive means after being demoted or banned.
• Coordinating with others to circumvent enforcement actions, either on your account or theirs.

Our moderators and staff work hard to maintain a healthy environment. Respect their time, decisions, and boundaries.

• Do not impersonate or harass staff.
• If you believe a decision was made in error, use the appropriate appeals process — do not argue moderation in public chats.
• Escalate concerns privately through modmail, ticket systems, or designated support channels.

Our bot are powerful tools — treat them responsibly.

Do not:

• Spam commands, circumvent cooldowns, or abuse features.
• Use bots to harass users or automate malicious behavior.
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities. If you find one, report it to staff immediately.

Using automation, scripts, or exploits to manipulate our systems is strictly prohibited.

If you're a server owner within the Moonlight Alliance Network:

• You are ultimately responsible for your server, its staff, and user conduct.
• Ensure moderators understand and enforce these guidelines.
• Cooperate with the Alliance in addressing violations.

Repeated or unresolved issues may result in your server being removed from the network.

See something against the rules? Help us maintain safety:

• Use the /report command (if available), file a ticket in the support server, or contact staff via DM.
• Please do not take enforcement into your own hands unless you are a designated staff member — "mini-modding" can escalate situations.

No set of rules can cover every scenario. We reserve the right to intervene in situations that:

• Harm the community spirit or violate the intent of the rules.
• Involve coordinated bad-faith behavior or technical rule exploitation.
• Abuse our systems, bots, or trust mechanisms in novel or harmful ways.

White-hat security research must be disclosed and approved in advance. Unauthorized probing, even if intended to help, will be treated as malicious activity.

You don't have to succeed at breaking the rules to be held accountable.

The following may result in enforcement even if no actual harm was caused:

• Testing moderation or spam thresholds.
• Creating alt accounts for rule-breaking or ban evasion.
• Probing filters or bot systems for weaknesses.

Consequences may include:

• Temporary or permanent bans.
• Logged warnings.
• Removal from network affiliation.
• Reports to Discord Trust & Safety where applicable.
