By adding or using The Moonlight Alliance bot in your Discord server, you agree to the following Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the bot.

1. Overview

The Moonlight Alliance is a moderation and community management bot for Discord servers. It is provided "as is" and is intended to support healthy server environments through features such as automated moderation, logging, and customizable server tools.

2. Our Rights and Protections

• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the bot at any time, with or without notice.
• We reserve the right to deny service to any server or user at our discretion, particularly in cases of abuse or violation of these terms.
• All data collected by the bot is logged privately in a secure area of the HQ Discord server and is accessible only to authorized personnel.
• We are not liable for any damage, data loss, moderation errors, or conflicts arising from the use of the bot. Use at your own discretion and risk.

3. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for configuring the bot appropriately for your server and ensuring that its use complies with Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• You must not use the bot to harass, track, or otherwise harm others.
• You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or disrupt the bot's functionality.
• If you collect any data using the bot's features (e.g., logs, reports), you are responsible for complying with any local data protection laws and informing your server members as required.

4. Acceptable Use

The Moonlight Alliance may not be used for:

• Automating or assisting in harassment, raids, or malicious moderation.
• Logging or storing personal or private information without consent.
• Violating Discord's platform rules or any local or national laws.
• Bypassing server rules or bot-imposed actions such as mute or ban evasion.

Use of the bot must be in good faith and for the purpose of moderation, community management, or server safety. Abuse will result in termination of access.

5. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the bot at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

Privacy Policy

The Moonlight Alliance is a Discord moderation bot designed to help manage and maintain safe, respectful communities. To perform its functions effectively, the bot may collect and log certain moderation-related data, including but not limited to:

• User infractions (e.g., warnings, mutes, bans)
• Command usage and related metadata
• Message content flagged for moderation (when applicable)

We also collect data associated with your account such as User IDs, Usernames or other related tags to identify users.

Whenever you enter data into any part of our bot (Commands, Forms, events, etc), You agree to it being logged.

By adding our bot to your server, You agree to allow us to collect data connected to your server to ensure proper function of the bot (E.g. Server ID, Icon, Server owner, etc.

Data Storage & Access

All collected data is securely logged in a private section of the HQ Discord server. Access to this information is strictly limited to authorized team members for the purpose of moderation and bot development.

Data Use

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties. All data is used solely to support moderation tasks, resolve disputes, improve bot performance, and ensure compliance with Discord's Terms of Service.

Liability & Responsibility

While we take reasonable steps to protect the data we collect, The Moonlight Alliance team is not responsible for any unauthorized access, data loss, or misuse beyond our control. Use of the bot constitutes acceptance of this policy and understanding of the associated risks.
